HelperS, Healers, & ChangeMakers

Thank you, for all you do.

You advocate, protect, nurture, teach, guide, and care for us all.

Buuut, how are YOU doing?

Black woman in therapy in St. Paul, Minnesota laughing and talking

Let me take a guess.

On a good day, you know who you are and what you are doing. You’ re ambitious, intuitive, and confident (well, outwardly at least).

On the bad days or bad months, you are exhausted, burnt out, and convinced you’re about to drop a ball that matters. You absorb everyone else’s stress without realizing how much you’re carrying until the anxiety spiral hits.

And once the spiral starts…it’s off to the races.
Sexism, capitalism, colonization, generational trauma, the overall state of the world…a constant state of existential dread is the new norm, right?

Things are a mess. No argument here.
But that doesn’t mean you have to be.

This isn’t a lack of resilience on your part.

It’s your body saying,
“This isn’t doable and it never really was.”

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

AREAS of SUPPORT in therapy

Let’s tend to what’s been suppressing your inner guidance and make room for a life that honors your deepest wisdom and greatest impact.

What’s happening:

✓Anxiety

✓Depression

✓Relationship & Attachment Wounds

✓Intergenerational Trauma

✓Racial Identity & Race-related Stress

✓Leadership and/or High-Performance Job Burnout

How it shows up:

✓Caretaking & Overfunctioning

✓Perfectionism to avoid making mistakes or being “found out”

✓Repeating the same relationship patterns despite your best efforts

✓Holding too much in, fearing vulnerability will be used against you

✓Feeling disconnected from self, others or your deeper purpose

Giving up old beliefs, habits and patterns for what is on the other side of healing can be…well…terrifying.

But you don’t have to do it alone.

How THERAPY helps you HEAL

At the intersection of ancestral wisdom, neuroscience, decolonization and attachment psychology, we create a unique healing space. In this space we:

  • Map Relationship Cycles

Using attachment science, explore repeating patterns in your relationships and uncover the triggers, thoughts, emotions, internal body cues, and unhelpful beliefs driving your interactions. Break the cycle and create connections grounded in reciprocity and mutual care.

  • Heal Generational Wounds

Deeply-rooted pain, beliefs and behaviors can be passed down through family lines. How you react at work or in relationships may have little to do with your present self. Release the grip of individual and collective trauma and step into personal healing.

  • Regain Self-Trust

When unwanted things happen in our lives, we often question ourselves and internalize the belief that we are the problem. We second-guess our decisions and become hypervigilant. Quiet the noise of anxiety and doubt by learning to trust yourself again, because you were never the bad guy in this story.

  • Reclaim Your Identity

Break free from labels and definitions imposed on you. Embody the power of choice, knowing that today, you get to decide how your innermost truth will shine through.

  • Unlock Liberation in Relaxation

Discover how neuroscience can help you reclaim peace, resist cultural conditioning, and reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm and healing power.

  • Activate Your Inner Wisdom

Reconnect with ancestral wisdom and inner knowing, integrating this powerful guidance into your decision-making as you shape an alive and aligned next chapter of life.

ABOUT

Danielle Houser M.S. LPCC
Licensed Profesional Clinical Counselor

TO THE ONES WHO HOLD IT ALL TOGETHER,

This is your space to exhale.

My decade of clinical experience as a therapist has confirmed what we already know: the people who appear the strongest are often the ones carrying the most.

That's why I'm here for the people everyone turns to — the purpose-driven, emotionally intelligent, self-aware ones who know how to save the day…but don’t always have the capacity to extend that same care to themselves (even when they want to).

My style of therapy goes deep. You don't need more surface-level insight or coping techniques you could learn anywhere. You need a therapist who can help you rebuild from the inside out with clarity, compassion, and a deep understanding of the systems that shape us.

FAQ

Counseling office for BIPOC individuals in Minnesota

ANSWERS

TO COMMON

QUESTIONS

    • All sessions are currently virtual. This allows you to be anywhere in the state of Minnesota during our sessions.

    • Each session is 55 minutes.

    • Appointment times are Monday-Thursday, 11am-6pm. The appointment times most likely open are daytime.

  • I work with BIPOC professionals who have a high level of emotional intelligence and have already engaged in some inner work through past therapy or mentorship. Many are natural leaders, whether by title or by default, and carry the weight of being seen as the financially and emotionally stable, supportive ones in their families and communities. They seek me out when the cumulative impact of systemic stressors, mask-wearing, and caretaking becomes overwhelming, and they notice it’s time for the next layer of healing.

Currently I am not accepting new clients that identify as White in my therapy practice. However, 1) past clients are always welcome back 2) I work with White individuals and groups in a variety of other ways. Please reach out to inquire.

  • You are very welcome in this space.

  • We will start with a free 30-minute consultation. This gives us both the opportunity to see if we are a good fit. Grab an appointment time here.

  • I am out-of-network with all insurance companies. However, there are two ways to still use your benefits:
    1) You are able to use an HSA or FSA to cover the cost.
    2) I can provide a statement to be submitted toward your out-of-network benefits and a portion of the fee could be reimbursed. However, those benefits are completely dependent on your specific plan. You will want to call the phone number on the back of your insurance card for more information.

  • The cost of each session is $250.

  • Studies confirm what you already know. The relationship between therapist and client is the #1 factor in the success of therapy.

Everyone searching for a therapist says, “I just want to find the right fit.” I completely get it. Set up a 30-minute consultation to see if working together could be right for you.
